Terms & Conditions

These conditions govern access to Linn County Recent Arrests. Using the site means you agree to follow them. If you do not accept every condition, discontinue use.

This privately owned site has no affiliation with Linn County, a sheriff, jail, court, corrections department, or other government body. Neither this site nor its advertising partners offers FCRA-covered services. We are not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency, and the material may not be used for credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening.

Nature of the Service

Linn County Recent Arrests is a private records reference. It stores no official arrest, jail, court, or booking files. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or file a request or court paper for a visitor.

The service points readers to sources such as the Linn County Sheriff, Macon County Jail, MSHP, Missouri Courts, MODOC, and third-party research tools. A link does not make this site the custodian of those records.

Rules for Acceptable Use

  • Do not use the service to violate any law.
  • Do not stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Do not use information for hiring, firing, housing, lending, insurance, or another eligibility decision.
  • Do not attempt access to accounts, servers, or data without authorization.
  • Do not operate bots, scrapers, or automated collection systems.
  • Do not overload, damage, or disrupt the service for others.

No Consumer Reports

We are not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. No background check, credit report, or consumer report is supplied. Visitors agree not to use site content or linked partner results for:

  • Employment, hiring, discipline, or termination
  • Tenant selection or any housing decision
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing
  • Licensing, permits, or government-benefit eligibility
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

Links Do Not Mean Endorsement

Links may reach jail information, arrest feeds, sheriff and corrections pages, government portals, legal resources, news outlets, and commercial search services. They are supplied for navigation. We do not endorse or control an outside site’s content, privacy practices, availability, or data handling. Review its own terms before use.

Service Provided As Is

The site and all material are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, no express or implied warranty is made about:

  • Accuracy, completeness, or current status
  • Continuous or uninterrupted availability
  • Freedom from errors, defects, or security flaws
  • Coverage or quality of a partner’s search results

Custody and public-record status can change quickly. Nothing here is an official statement from Linn County Sheriff, Macon County Jail, or another government office. Under RSMo § 610.100, arrest-record access may also change with charging status, an investigation, redaction, or later disposition.

Limits on Liability

To the broadest extent Missouri law permits, the site, owners, operators, and partners will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside resource.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site, its owners, and its partners harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use of the service or your breach of these conditions.

Ownership of Site Materials

Original text, graphics, logos, design elements, and code belong to Linn County Recent Arrests or the identified content partner. You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, or modify them without written permission, except where applicable law allows.

Changes and Access

We may revise these conditions at any time. New terms take effect when posted. We may also suspend, restrict, or revoke access at any time, for any lawful reason, without advance notice.

Missouri Law Controls

Missouri law governs these conditions, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Missouri. Missouri statutes relevant to source records include RSMo § 610.140 on expungement and RSMo § 407.1150 on paid booking-record removal practices.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay effective. The affected language will be limited or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
